Mission Statement:
"OCI is a charitable organization committed to helping orphans and needy children
around the world by providing for their physical, mental and spiritual needs. Our
goal is to release these children back to their communities as healthy, educated
and well-adjusted adults so they can play their part in the future of their own
nations. We are commited to sharing God's love with all those we come into contact
with."

Executive Director Sherry Holbrook |
OCI was incorporated in 2006 to help orphans and vulnerable
children in third-world countries. Our Executive Director, Sherry Holbrook,
first became aware of the need to provide help to orphans when she went on her first
trip to Zambia in May 2004. Since that time, Sherry has traveled frequently to
Zambia with the purpose of providing aid to vulnerable children infected/affected
by the AIDS epidemic. She knew she couldn't do it alone, and as a result,
Orphan Care International was formed.
It is important to note that all donations received by
OCI are sent directly to our projects. Not one
penny is kept for overhead.
All travel costs are
covered by the individual
traveling. OCI has not been
formed to benefit any individual except for those in our
supporting projects.
We are a volunteer-run non-profit agency. We do not have an office, salaries, cars,
expense accounts, or travel reimbursement.
Our reimbursement is in the joy of being able to help. Be assured that every
cent that is donated to OCI is given in full to the project a donor designates.
We are incorporated as a charitable organization in the state of California and
have obtained the tax-exempt status 501(c)(3) from the Internal Revenue Service.
We work in collaboration with North Valley Community Foundation where you may send your tax
deductible donations.
